I know Happy has been a little quiet over the past 2 weeks or so. You’ll all know this is due to the music video for che-fu going into post production and having to work like crazy on it. I’m sure you soon bore of photos of me sitting at a computer. Well we wrapped it up on Saturday, should be in the hands of Sony now ready to be sent out to the TV stations. I’ll post it up as soon as possible!
Loads more work in the pipeline, 3 title sequences for C4 Music Television. By the end of this I’ll have designed and produced identites for 5 national shows. Pretty proud of that although I’ve still plenty of work to get on with! What’s more I’m now an official employee of Bunker Media which is great news as they are a brilliant crew to work with. Far cry from my first experience of New Zealand work. I’m going to tie this in with trying to get on a residency visa rather than this working holiday. Just means I’m more secure if I choose to stay longer, rather than the hassle of sorting stuff out last minute.

This ones for my boy El-V and all the Asian Invasion. This weekend really reminded me of Leicester, as Diwali (Der-waa-lee as Kiwis mispronounce) was celebrated here in down town Auckland. There’s actually a far larger Indian population than I first realised. After having a superb Indian meal from Oh Calcutta in Parnell (which would stand up to anything Ive had on Leicester’s golden mile), I headed down to the Britomart where the celebrations were being held. Loads of food stalls, two stages, big crowd – of course nothing to the scale of Leicester but a little taster of home on the other side of the world.

Just noticed I’m still calling the UK home…
