Lake Wainamu

Another great Sunday with the weekend crew (Six of us this time – Esther, Matt, Sean, Steph, Lea and Myself). This time we visited Lake Wainamu, which is near Bethells Beach which we visited last Sunday. Had such a fantastic day, after climbing over the sand dunes you get to frolic in the perfect temperature of the fresh water lake.

nabbed these photos from Sean:

The Beautiful Game

Saturday night David Beckham and co were in town. To be honest it was a really average game – all 3 goals coming in the first half, and a pretty subdued atmosphere. Mainly kids and parents going to see Mr Beckham, which became glaring obvious when he was substituted in the last 15 minutes resulting in most people getting up leaving or heading down to the subs bench. Still it was nice to watch a football game for the first time in years, and a couple of surprises – Christian Karembeu, Mark “Cocaine” Bosnich and even Edgar Davids (what he was he doing on the Oceania Allstars squad I have no idea. He even got into a fight during play). It was probably Beckhams last game for the Galaxy – he is disappearing off to A.C. Milan on loan.

Bethells Beach

Had a fantastic weekend with a great bunch of people. About 8 out us had a road trip out to Bethells Beach and spent the day in the sunshine. Even had a swim. Check out the full res super wide shots to a get a real feel for it:

The large rock above is Ihumoana Island (see it again here). At the base is a secure gate (complete with code panel), where a staircase leads up a hidden bach. At high tide its completely cut off from the main land. I’d say that’s pretty much my dream home.

New Ads

Art Directed these ads for MTV, first billboard has gone up on Queen street, more to follow, including magazine ads. Will post some nicer photos here when they do. Really happy with the outcome of this project. 12×3 metre billboards are fun to do!
