The Domain

Almost don’t want to type anything here, as the photos can do the talking. Gorgeous day today, so wandered over to the Domain which is between my flat and the store in Parnell. The 75 hectare park has been developed around the cone of an extinct volcano. The view on the steps of the War Museum (at the peak) is spectacular.

Anzac stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and the day is to remember the soliders lost at the Gallipoli Landings in The First World War. Here in Auckland, theres a dawn service being held a the War Musuem in the Domain (pictured here in an earlier post). RIP to those who travelled to the other side of the world to die, for both our countries. [...]

Bunker does some website work for the photographer Marti Friedlander(click the link for her work), and while she was in the office today she complimented on the above photo. She had seen in online and at the printers down the road. I took the photo back in June 2006 on a trip around the Domain. [...]
